About Dr. Thuc Huynh
I collect Cool Health Infographics from across the web and share them with you. I write about physician salaries on MDsalaries.net. I launched Scrubd. In as a medical apps shopping site. And I'm chief operating officer for Scutwork.com which is the first site to aggregate residency reviews.
I'm about to launch another site to help all medical students.
On this blog, I write about my journey as a physician and business(wo)man. Dig deeper into the blog and you will see past residency experiences.

good morning
good morning tumblr et al,
it’s another day at the office seeing patients. my schedule is fairly busy and i love it. my facebook typography poster arrived and is now mounted on the wall in my personal office. the fantastic jennifer brown’s “3 donkeys in nevis” photo has been printed. i just need to mount it on a standout board and then put it up.
the final addition to my office will be a linear timeline of photos during medical school and residency. my goal is to do one photo from each location i did a rotation in, frame it in thick acrylic, and then use L pins to stand it on my wall.
grad school is going just fine. clinical research is pretty interesting so far. i’ll have to see if there are any opportunities to get involved as a sub or principal investigator.
work/life balance is good. i just took kim out to a romantic dinner and ballet. the quality of ballet here in rochester is pretty impressive. it certainly beats out south dakota’s troupe. but pales in comparison to Washington DC’s ballet performances. we will be going to NYC in a couple weeks and that will be awesome to catch up with one of my cousins and plenty of friends. i need to get an art fix in, so we will be going to the MOMA.
i am also planning a week long vacation in mid-March hitting albany, ny, washington DC, and pittsburgh, pa. i have some friends lined up in order to catch up but im always looking to make new friends so hit me up if you live in those places.
come to think of it, i have vacations/weekend getaways nearly every month this year. God, I love being an attending physician. to all med students, stick with it, it really does get better at the end. have a good day everybody!
